Meeting on Feb. 21st, 2010

The Atsugi-Zama Toastmasters club held another great meeting on Feb. 21st, 2010. 14 club members participated in this meeting.



Word of the day

Summary of the meeting
  • TM Komura opened the meeting with jokes on fairy tales in the Joke Master Session;
  • TM Tanaka led the Table Topics Session;
  • Three members gave prepared speeches:
    • TM Lenglet gave a speech, titled "Get Creative: Commit to the Unexpected!" (Project #3, CC Manual), to give tips on how to trigger creativity to solve problems and to get unstuck in creative activities;
    • TM Y. Inoue delivered a colorful speech, titled "A pink-tinted sunset and shadowed reflect on the Danube" (Project #4, CC Manual), to encourage the audience to travel abroad and discover new cultures;
    • TM Ofori delivered an impressive motivational speech to advertise Toastmasters, titled "Communication" (Project #1, Public Relations Manual);
  • Evaluations were given by the General Evaluator (TM Fukuda) and three Evaluators (resp., TM M. Inoue, TM Horioka, and TM Sakuragi).

  • Best Performance: TM Yoshikawa (Toastmaster of the Day)
  • Best Table Topics Speaker: TM Maruyama
  • Best Prepared Speaker: TM Ofori
  • Best Evaluator: TM M. Inoue (evaluating TM Lenglet)
