The Atsugi-Zama Toastmasters club held another great meeting on May 16th, 2010. 15 club members and 4 guests attended the meeting.

- We held a speaker coaching session, an extra educational session before the regular meeting to coach some members and help them give impromptu speeches;
- TM Katsushika was introduced as a new club member (welcome to the club!);
- TM Asano opened the meeting with the Joke Master Session;
- TM Lenglet led the Table Topics Session;
- Four members gave prepared speeches:
- TM Yoshikawa explained the current state of energy production in Japan and in the world, and gave some solutions to ecological problems, in his speech titled "Eco-friendly Energy" (Project #8, CC Manual);
- TM Wada told us the traditional Japanese story "The One-straw Millionaire" (Project #1, Storytelling Manual);
- TM Perkins explained and demonstrated with a role play how to use win-win negotiation strategies, in his speech titled "I Want my Money Back" (Project #2, Interpersonal Communication Manual);
- TM Inagaki gave a speech titled "Welcome Futenma", demonstrating how to convince an audience about a controversial subject, in this case the creation of a US Navy Base in a Japanese town in exchange for special benefits (Project #4, Persuasive Speaking Manual);
- Constructive speech evaluations were given by the General Evaluator (TM Sakuragi) and four Evaluators (resp., TM Komura, TM Maruyama, TM Ofori, and TM M. Inoue).
- Best Table Topics Speaker: TM Katsushika, for her very good first impromptu speech
- Best Prepared Speaker: TM Inagaki
- Best Evaluator: TM Ofori (evaluating TM Perkins)
- Best Performance (awarded by the General Evaluator): TM Tateishi, for voluntarily taking two roles during this meeting (Ah Counter and Grammarian)
